With an abundance of information to cover, the focus will be on helping traders get a better understanding for technical analysis and trading the markets with the classic approach to technicals. Then as traders gain more confidence with the foundation they will be able to explore the esoteric aspects of analyzing and trading the markets. Our goal is to help the new and struggling trader sift through the overwhelming amount of info and point them toward the important stuff that they should be focusing on. The intention is to get them to a point where they are competing with the top traders in the world without having to know everything under the sun. It is vital to limit the scope in the beginning while you are calibrating your compass so that you are able to set sail on your own.
Since the focus will be trading the foreign exchange market, we will have the room open during the London Session Open. This is when a big part of the trading day takes place. The room will be open around 7:00 a.m. London Time and the discussion will carry on until around 11:00 a.m. London Time.
The training class is free for a brief period of time. Since this is the start of this new virtual trading floor, our intention is to allow new and struggling traders to learn while we get all the bugs sorted out.

The founder of Garcia Research will be hosting the room for the time being. Andy Garcia CMT, CFTe has been an independent trader for over a decade with experience in stocks, bonds, commodities, futures and currencies. His experience is combined with a dual degree in finance and economics and his time has focused on mastering the art of technical analysis. Through this endeavor Andy is a member of the Chartered Market Technicians Association, Society of Technical Analysts and the International Federation of Technical Analysts. As a member he has successfully obtained the Chartered Market Technician (CMT) and Certified Financial Technician (CFTe) designation. Andy is an active trader using his own analysis and research to capture alpha in the markets.
Trading the market can be a lonely pursuit. Our hope is to make a thriving community of traders helping other traders. We are responding to a demand from aspiring and struggling traders to lend a helping hand in developing a solid foundation on which you can build a deeper understanding of the market dynamics. The information we share is based on a sound core body of knowledge which has been through the test of time. The end game is to network with a community of like minded individuals who are potential partners in future endeavors.
Our virtual trading floor will have discussions on all markets from all the different asset classes. The analysis that we perform can be applied to any market on any time frame. For the sake of helping the new and struggling traders up to speed, the focus will be on the major foreign exchange pairs for various reason which will be revealed during the class. We will be participating in markets that go up, down and sideways. Skills will be gained to help you take advantage of all market environments in all asset classes while practicing the classic approach to technical analysis.
We hope to accommodate the various venues on which to stream. Starting out there will only be a private room with the expectation or adding the others.
While we will share the opportunities that we are exploring, providing signals is not at the backbone of this room. Due to internet latency it is impossible to patch members in to the quick trades that are taken on a regular basis. Our hope is to help you learn how to fish for yourself rather than doing the fishing for you. We will share our approach, our strategies and even show you the opportunities we are anticipating but in the end you have to take the trade.
